My mum has just been told that she has high cholesterol and one of the things the doctor recommended is whey protein. Is there anything unique about whey protein that will help lower cholesterol or is this likely as a substitute for eggs, red meat, etc?
I’ve sent over the articles from the BBM team, thanks so much for them. I will also give them a read too become more informed on the topic.
Using a whey protein supplement as a meal replacement can improve weight loss results as a strategy to be in an energy deficit. This may be even more beneficial if it replaces foods high in saturated fat, particularly red meat, butter, medium chain triglycerides, etc.
