Got some exams results and for my surprise, for the first time, I have an issue. My current LDL is 168. Almost 30yo, 38`` waist, 167lbs, my dad has cholesterol and blood pressure problems. I will see my doctor next week, but as you know, they probably will see do some cardio, walk 20min a day. Do you have some tips to lower my LDL? I am current in the week 4 of 7 week hypertrophy template.
I did a aggressive bulking, 3kg in a month and half(not intended, I was sick for some time, lost 4kg, when I got better my weight just getting higher and higher with the same diet, I finally find my maintenance/“slow bulk” calorie intake again), and in the time I was sick, I entered in “vaction mode”, eating too much fast food, icecream, etc…, and was still losing weight. Another question is, was my age or the diet fiasco who was responsible for this LDL spike?
Also and last, my blood glucose was 79 ,fasting, again I will see my doctor next week, but should I be worried?
my height is 5`10, also an correction(i dont use imperial system daily, sry about that), my waist in fasting is 33(most of visible fat is concentrated in the belly, 80% more or less, the classic skinny fat belly).
I had LDL tested years ago, for a small procedure, and was normal.
Morning and night I am taking LABA for asthma and Proton-pump inhibitors for GERD.
My current diet is(I am using fatsecret):
Carbs (49%)
Fat (27%)
Protein (24%)
I have sugar in one meal, Oreos, and my meals are basic chicken thighs, brown rice, olive oil. My first meal is kind of wild card, normally whey with something, sometimes eggs. And yes, I dont eat vegs at all, shame on me, also low fibers, double shame on me
When I was sick and losing weight I kind panic and was eating too much trash, icecream, fast food, chocolate, fried chicken buckets, almost every day. 3 Weeks ago I find my maintenance again with my day to day diet. I am active, 10 years of training martial arts(Muay Thai), and 5 of lifting, never stopped(except vacations, injuries and illness)
