Hi BBM Team,

Thanks for all the great content you guys put out. It is unique and insightful. I’ve recently got some test done and just got back my results. Wanted to know if you guys would make any recommendations for training interventions or for me to seek further medical advice from a practitioner. If not, where would these numbers have to be to warrant an intervention or medical care.

Cholesterol: 177mg
Triglycerides: 129mg
HDL: 42mg
LDL: 110mg
Cholestorol HDL Ratio: 4.3
Glucose: 82mg

Thanks in advance, you guys rock!

What’s your age, waist measurement, and do you have any other medical issues?

HDL-C is getting close to the low end, these otherwise look ok.

Do you have any stock recommendations for increasing HDL? Mine is always very low (less than 40). I lift and cardio. Most of my added dietary fat is olive oil, and this is part of <100g fat/day. I suppose I could eat more nuts, but… the calories.

I wouldn’t recommend doing anything specific to increase your HDL, as we don’t have evidence showing that it makes a difference in outcomes.
