Greetings:
My regular overhand grip on the deadlift is failing. But, I have two issues.
I have small hands. I mean very small hands. Like the time I shook hands with President Trump it looked like Shaq palming a baseball. So, when I try to use a hook grip the tip of my index finger is just on the end of my thumbnail. Which does not exactly create a lot of force. On a positive note, using the hook grip does not hurt my thumb at all.
The second problem is that my wrists do not turn as much as other people’s do. If I put my arms down at my side and try to put my palms forward they only turn about 45 degrees. So, when I try to use a mixed grip I am only holding the bar with the first two fingers of my palm forward hand. And so I cannot mixed grip as much as my overhand grip. I have the same problem when I try to do chin-ups.
I know there is nothing that can be done to lengthen my hands. So, is there anything that can be done to increase the rotation in my wrists?
Thank you very much.
