Ibuprofen/NSAIDS and overuse injuries

Hi docs,
I’ve developed a few overuse injuries across the years of lifting and I’ve always used Ibuprofen about 3x/day when things flare up to dampen the pain. After reading a lot of your stuff (specifically pain in training and guide to tendinopathy) I think I have a pretty good toolbox to address these injuries. But where do NSAIDS fit in? Should I take them to reduce symptoms? Will that just worsen the injury by making me think I can do more work than I should and screw up my pain driven autoregulation? Does reducing inflammation through NSAID use undermine recovery or injury repair bio processes?

If you have any thoughts on this or generally the use of NSAIDS and training I’d greatly appreciate it! Alternatively if you’ve written on this before and can point me there I’d gladly take a look.
