Just curious (skip if busy): Could one get strong effectively only using paused reps?

Hello Dr. Jordan Feigenbaum and/or Dr. Austin Baraki,

I was just wondering about the strength-training effects of paused reps only, both in terms of LP and more advanced programs. Would the rate of strength increase change at all (Already accounting for lower weight per rep). Would one hit plateaus sooner/more often, because there is less wiggle room (with dynamic, unpaused reps, one can get a larger stretch reflex if they descend faster, so one can “cheat” to grind out the last rep)?

In short: how would rate of strength gains and fatigue compare between traditional and pause-only lifting?

Thanks,
ColoradoMinesCole

I would expect to see little difference in the rates of strength gain in this situation.
