Low responders

1 ) Would you say that a low responder requires more accumulated training volume per unit fitness adaptation than a nominal responder?

2 ) Would you say that a low responder will train around the same absolute intensities for a longer period of time than a nominal responder before realizing equivalent demonstrable fitness adaptations?

Thanks!

Hey Wii,

  1. Maybe, particularly if the program is not well-adapted to their needs.

  2. Maybe!

I think most of the ‘non responders’ we see are the result of poor programming for the individual rather than an inevitable outcome.
