Mono and SSLP

Hello All,

I have been diagnosed with mono. When I lifted today I failed squatting a weight that I could do Monday, but my press stayed the same. Did I nocebo myself by learning that I had mono? Should I continue to try my current weights or lower the weight until the mono passes?

I don’t know if you nocebo’d yourself, but it’s possible. I probably wouldn’t train with mono- or at least I wouldn’t personally train with mono unless my doctor told me it was 100% fine with respect to splenic rupture and I wouldn’t hemorrhage in the gym.
