MPS - Working out very early in the morning

Hello,

Thank you very much for all you do - really! Also, I’ve very much enjoying your supplements:smile:

My question is, I wake up at 4:40am to workout at 5:15am. In terms of MPS, am I better off:

  1. Having your whey at 4:40am (right upon waking) and immediately post-workout have your whey or a meal just 2 hours after I took your whey?
  2. Not eating anything pre-workout (workout fasted) and just consuming your whey immediately after the workout - then wait another 3-4 hours before having a meal?
  3. Having your whey at 4:40am and then not having anything (your whey or meal) until 3+ hours later (about 1.5 hours after finishing the workout, in essence waiting the 3+ hours between “meals”)?

Or…is there even a better idea to maximize MPS given this early morning schedule? I hope I was clear in my question and I’m understanding all of this correctly. Thanks in advance and have a nice weekend.

Hey Jared,

Thanks for the post and your business. As far as your questions, I would not micromanage “MPS” in nearly any situation nor would I prefer to have a client train fasted. If I was in your situation I would have 1 scoop of whey and 1 cup of oats (or similar) right when waking up, then train and eat again around 8 am (3 hours later). I wouldn’t think about anything else regarding MPS.

You’re welcome and thank you.
