Yesterday my friend took me to this meeting in which this company ___ which sells non oil based CBD products. In the demo they demonstrated that one of the products helped broke food down in your stomach which in turn helps your body absorb nutrients faster. Also they claimed that it helped children with autism regain some cognitive brain function. Finally they had one person who suffered from knee pain from 15 years on snowboarding went from being able to snowboard for only 2 hours to being able to do it for a full day without pain within one month of using the product. I was wondering what you guys think of this. Here is the link to their website: no linking
I think your friend and the company are either engaging in fraud or are not educated in the effects of the product they are selling. 10/10 would avoid like the plague.
I apologize for the link and the company name. So yes during presentation I couldn’t help but be skeptical through the whole thing. So I am guessing that there is not enough data/evidence that supports the effects of CBD? I did watch your video about weed and gainzz. They didn’t really explain how absorbing the CBD product through your skin made ache’s and pains go away, I’m pretty sure Austin would’ve had a field if he were there. I am not sure if you actually saw their products, but reading through the ingredients in all of them, it kinda seemed like a scam. Thanks for the reply!
CBD oil is cannabidiol. At present, the only indications for prescription cannabidiol are two rare, congenital seizure disorders. It does not appear to provide benefits over placebo for psychiatric conditions (e.g. anxiety, depression, etc.), pain, sleep, nausea, etc. The tl;dr- the existing evidence does not suggest CBD oil is useful for most conditions. There is no existing evidence suggesting OTC CBD products are beneficial, however there is substantial data showing these products are often contaminated with unsafe and unregulated compounds. Finally, there is zero evidence on CBD being absorbed through any transdermal vehicle.
You can tell your friend and direct him here
Your friend is probably a nice guy, but this is BS.
Thank you the response! You’ve saved me from wasting my time trying to sell this stuff. I hope ya have a good day
Hey JF - re: ‘It does not appear to provide benefits over placebo for psychiatric conditions (e.g. anxiety, depression, etc.), pain, sleep, nausea, etc.’
Is this specifically for CBD oils or would you say this about med. marijuana in general?
Both, though medical marijuana has some better data on pain, nausea, and sleep, though most organizations discourage against prescribing it first, second, or third line for those things. Psychiatric conditions tend to do worse with these products, in general.
I tried medical marijuana but after this I had health problems…
Sounds like he wasn’t talking about CBD after all.
Non-oil-based CBD Oil? Never heard of it!
