Going to try this diet to see if it has any effects on my RA symptoms. Grains, dairy, legumes, nuts, seeds, eggs, nightshades are all excluded. Pretty much just meat and veggies.
My question is if there are any protein powders and easy sources of carbs (like in a powder form) besides yams and sweet potatoes I could have. Willing to experiment and bend the rules if I don’t have any symptom flare ups, like trying rice protein, for example.
While I don’t support the nomenclature or the dietary change to control symptoms of RA, if you want to do this you could do white rice and pretty much any seedless fruit. Whey protein has a milk protein, but soy protein would work.
All carb supplements are about the same with respect to performance and training outcomes. Could use HBCD, CCD, potato starch, or something similar.
Because it increases the risk of restrictive dietary patterns and nutritional nocebo without ample evidence it does anything for any particular condition. Calling it “autoimmune protocol” suggests that it works for autoimmune diseases and it sounds scientific, suggesting an expert designed it.
It’s literally just made up without scientific evidence to back the claim. A few anecdotes on the internet do not equal data.
