Hello,
I’m curious what program direction you would recommend. Here’s my stats along with my goals.
Age: 42
Height: 6’4"
Weight: 190 - 194 lbs.
Waist: 33 - 34 in.
This is all testing I’ve done solo in the last month.
(Trap bar) Dead lift actual max: 400 rpe 10
Back Squat actual max: 295 rpe 10
Bench actual max: 215 rpe 10
Press actual max: 155 rpe 10
Training time: 10 years of strength, crossfit, kettlebell, endurance, etc. all programmed to ensure I’m ready for the climbing season
Goals: I’m an alpine mountaineer so I don’t want to gain a lot of weight. My goal is is changing a bit as I get older to where I want to get as generally strong as my genes will carry me while staying at or under 200lbs. I don’t want to get too heavy to haul my ass up mountains, I’m lazy that way. Also, I have skinny calves due to my height and it’s all in my legs so I don’t want to look disproportionate.
Past programs: Primarily I’ve followed Dan John training and programming. Recently I stumbled onto Alan Thrall and you guys somewhere in my travels and was very impressed with the methods and programming. I’ve downloaded the bridge program but would like to plan out my annual cycles and am looking at your 12 week strength program and GPP programs for endurance and hypertrophy to cycle back and forth with.
Before I purchase anything I would really appreciate feedback on direction given my goals, current skills and direction.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
