Hello BBM. I have a general question that’s in my mind for some time. Are some people more prone to pain genetically (tendinitis, non-specific pain etc…)?
I’ve been dealing with issues for some years now all the time, and I don’t think it’s all my fault cause I see other people pushing training way to further and not dealing with any problems…
Thanks!
Hey GiannisKa - unfortunately I don’t think we will have a satisfying answer to this question given the complexity of the topic. Pain experiences are individualistic experiences but society dictates our understanding, language, and behavioral responses to some extent. Society also dictates what is considered “normal” vs “abnormal” experiences and responses to such experiences. More to the premise of your question, I don’t recommend comparing your experiences to others given you aren’t them and this usually just leads to viewing oneself as abnormal and others as normal which isn’t typically a beneficial thought process.
