Protein Powder

Hello,

I’ve been drinking a lot of Fairlife milk recently in place of a protein powder. Why protein isolates have historically given me the infamous bubble gut or just do not digest well for me, so I switched to Fairlife milk and I use 2 cups for approx. 26g protein instead of a whey supplement. For reference, I have been diagnosed with IBS in the past (which is not much of a problem in general) and have been able to better digest protein supplements that use a whey concentrate vs isolate. I am worried that by relying on Fairlife I am missing out on favorable BCAA profiles and benefits of a high quality protein.

I have been eyeing the BBM Whey for sometime and want to pull the trigger on it as it seems to have high value for what it offers. I haven’t been able to find any reviews of the protein and am concerned that I will buy a $40 supplement only to have digestion issues and have it sitting around. Any thoughts are welcomed!

I think Fairlife is a fine source for protein and it is very, very high quality. I do not think the difference in EAA concentration between it and whey protein isolates are worth worrying about. As far as whether or not you’re likely to have digestion issues, I can’t really speak to that. Some other isolates are really blends of concentrate and isolates in addition to having various other additions that may not be well-tolerated. Our stuff is straight isolate and is generally well-tolerated, but your experience may be different.
