Fair Life milk vs Protein Powder

Jordan,

You had replied on a previous thread that you thought Fair Life was a reasonable substitute when on the go, and not able to access one’s protein powder of choice.

Would you consider Fair Life as a primary source of protein supplementation as opposed to using protein powder?

I’m supplementing with 2-3 shakes a day using whole milk and whey protein. I tolerate this regimen fairly well ( 64 y/o, 6’2", 200lbs )

From what I can suss out, using Fair Life would be more expensive, with no real benefit nutritionally.

Thanks for your time.

Good question.

Overall, I think Fairlife products can be part of a health-promoting dietary pattern. As far as replacing a whey protein supplement, I think they can be used like that with the understanding that they cost more, have more Calories, and may require special handling (e.g. refrigeration) once opened. That said, they’re pretty good when you need some milk or want a protein shake on the road.

Our whey protein (or similar) would be my go-to staple, with something like Fairlife being my choice on the road:
