Protein timing - Whey protein shake

Is there a best time to take a whey protein shake? Or does it not matter?

Is it most important that you get about 1.6 g of protein per body weight in a day?

Is it best to spread your protein intake throughout the day?

Batman (feels weird calling another adult man this), the most important thing regarding protein is total daily intake. Frequency and dosing interval matter far less, but I would advise ~ 3-5 meals a day spread by 3 -5 hours.

The best time for whey is when you need a protein source in a meal.
