Question on 3-day Low Fatigue template.

Hey Jordan!

I am just starting my 3rd week of the Low Fatigue 3-day template. I feel like I’ve got my top set pretty dialed in at the prescribed RPE in all my lifts, but my subsequent back-off sets seem really light. Is this by design?

For example, my LBBS was 280# for 3 reps (3@7) with a high confidence of 7RPE (theoretical rep 4 would have been good…5 probably good but slow…6 would’ve been a grinder, but successful…7 was NOT happening).

My backoffs (71%e1RM x4x5) however, I rated no higher than 5.5 for any set and that may have been a little high. My rest times are within 3-5mins / set. I read over the pdf and found the Too little stress – Intensity protocol, but I’m not sure that applies in this case since I’m not completing sets in 3mins or less and RPE for backoffs is not below 5. Also, I’m not sure if 3 weeks is enough time to deviate from the program as written.

Any insight you can offer would be greatly appreciated…thank you, sir!

Seems about right to me. 4 reps @ 71% should be ~ RPE 5 or so. I would rest 3 min between sets to speed up the workout until/unless things start getting harder. I wouldn’t change anything else.

Thanks, Jordan! I’m really enjoying this template so far! Can’t wait to see how I respond with more time. Keep up the great work…you and your team are wonderful!

Thank you for the kind words. Let me know how it goes!
