Question Regarding 3 hour MPS peak and Excess Leucine

In Jordan’s articles and podcasts, he talks about how we need to trigger an MPS by having a meal with at least 3 gram leucine at least 3 hours apart.

The point is that Leucine threshold is 2-2.2 grams , so 3 grams to be safe and cover all population.
Excess leucine (more than 3 grams) doesn’t necessarily cause more MPS, which also I agree.

Now my question is wha if I took say 10 grams of leucine, because you know Big meals.
I have read that Amino acid stay in the blood stream for several hours, a lot longer than 3 hours.

Unless you are not severely starved of other macro nutrients, the amino acids will not be converted to energy so soon. So won’t the leucine stay in the blood stream for more than 3 hours?
In that case, will the MPS peak happen on it’s own?

I have read an research paper that suggests that spreading protein meals over 3/4 meals do provide better MPS than staggered meals. And this comports with Jordan’s assessment. I happily split my protein meals. Hell, in my next bulking phase, I plan to drink a protein shake in the midnight when I wake up for pee break.

But I couldn’t find any citations on the 3 hour MPS peak. Appreciate any link.

And I am still confused about excess proteins and how long they stay in the bloodstream for uptake, since they won’t be excreted unless in Jordan’s word, you have a violent diarrhea.

Also, I see some onconvincing research reviews on BCAAs on itself can be harmful as they might hamper MPS due to different amino acids fighting for same pathways or something of that sort? I agree BCAAs are not very useful, but can someone clarify on whether the claims of negative effects have any merit?

Not really without another bolus of amino acids, but existing essential amino acids in the blood stream can contribute, sure.

MPS “peaks” ~30-120 min after ingestion and then drops to baseline regardless of additional intake (or infusion) of additional protein. It appears to stay this way for ~3 hours post prandial.

They will be converted to pyruvate or other energy intermediate for oxidation if they aren’t stored.

I have not seen any research supporting this, but rather the present data suggests extended periods of hyperaminoacidemia tends to promote muscle accrual overall.
