Hello guys,
I am 28 years old, had a ureteroscopy to remove a kidney stone, no JJ probe was placed -I asked the surgeon if it was okay to try without it-. Post-op, he told me everything was fine, and because the inflammation was little, he decided to leave me without the probe. The following days were painful, renal colic pain, but manageable. Little blood for 48 hours and then clear urines.
5 days post-op, I started urinating blood and 1 big blood clot came out. Then clear urine the whole day. I decided to train this evening, lightweight, SBD, easy, and no pain (the surgeon cleared me for sports).
6 days post-op, at 8 pm, I urinated blood again, and one clot again. Then I had a pretty big colic and urinated something approximating 10 blood clots. It felt great. The nightmare began that night: huge pain, and impossibility to pee from 1 am to 5 am. I was in denial and started to get confused, very anxious, and very painful. I decided to go to the hospital knowing I’ll get a urinary catheter. They extracted for 30 minutes blood clots before the blood and the urine could get out of the catheter. The bleeding lasted 48 hours. The 5 urologists of the clinic have never seen a secondary bleeding this big after a simple ureteroscopy in a “young” patient like me (I’m finally a special snowflake).
My question is: can lifting weight cause such bleeding, and can I lift weight again without fearing it?
Cheers
