Shoes and depth

I wear Xero shoes for every day because I enjoy the feeling of minimal shoes and the wide toe box feels good on my slightly wide feet. However, I have noticed that I have a hard time going below parallel on my squats while wearing these shoes. I make it right at parallel or very slightly above.

Would squat shoes help with this? Or is this something that I just have to somehow get my ROM increased via stretching.

Squat shoes definitely help but with that being said plenty of people squat in flat shoes and hit depth perfectly fine so I’d probably focus on hitting depth and not just buy shoes for that purpose.

I went ahead and bought ~$80 squat shoes. Today was the first day I used them and I hit appropriate depth. It still feels like a stretch at the bottom (barely below parallel), but at least I’m making depth now.
