Should I get my testosterone levels checked?

I’m basically sedentary due to multiple chronic orthopedic problems and rheumatoid arthritis. I can’t do any cardio, but I go to the gym two to three times a week trying to rehab my physical problems.

My sleep is poor because my work schedule changes week-to-week. I might only get 2 to 4 hours of sleep a few nights in a row, and then I will crash and sleep for 10 hours.

I have a low libido, orgasms feel weak, and I have not had morning erections for maybe 2 years.

Should I get my testosterone levels checked?

Ideally I would change jobs to do work with a consistent schedule, but my opportunities are severely limited because of my RA and tendinopathies.

I would recommend a consultation with a physician on this topic.

Testosterone may be a reasonable thing to check, although there are many other potential things that should be evaluated as well. Your sleep issues are obviously a major issue here. Hopefully you are already seeing a rheumatologist for appropriate management of your RA in order to minimize the impact it has on your life.
