I’ve read that training can improve condition related to the back / disc / spine. Can training completely heal a slipped disc though?
This is a complex topic that really can’t be adequately addressed in a simple forum response.
But a few important points are worth mentioning: first, disks don’t actually “slip”. This is admittedly pedantic, but the language used actually has implications when it comes to the pain people experience. There is literature showing that about 2/3 of disk herniations do ultimately heal on their own. But regardless, there is no guarantee that a herniated disk will cause any symptoms at all, in which case the precise state of “healing” becomes less relevant in general.
Training helps with back pain. You should train, and not worry as much about the specific positioning of your intervertebral disks.
