Snacking inbetween meals

after watching a lecture of yours primarily about protein, you spoke about leaving at least a 3 hour gap between meals.

How would snacking affect the MPS response for the next meal? firstly with foods containing none or only trace amounts of protein, but also with foods witha relatively low but decent amount of protein in such as nuts or bread.

Thanks for any response.

It doesn’t look like it does anything, even if it has protein- it just doesn’t contribute to the existing MPS bout. That said, other metabolic processes do better when you don’t snack so…unless it’s the only way to be adherent to a particular Calorie intake…I wouldn’t recommend snacking.
