My questions is regarding if there would be any contraindication to supplementing mk-4 due to the statin reducing it.
Stats:
Sex: Male
age: 37
bw: 76kg
I am 6 years out from a heart attack and stent due to genetic FH and am now on Repatha and Rosuvastatin
We don’t really know.
The closest thing I could find to any human evidence relating to this topic was actually just published last week: https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jamacardiology/article-abstract/2850256
However, this study is not really applicable to your situation/question, as it looked at MK-7 supplementation in symptomatic patients with positive CAC scores not at MK-4 in FH patients post-MI. Furthermore, the primary outcome was progression of calcified plaque, not actual cardiovascular events or mortality, making it even less useful.
