Still need a booster after contracting Covid?

My pregnant wife has just tested positive for Covid, so I’m assuming I will soon too.

We were both due our Pfizer boosters next week, is there much point in rescheduling these if we’ve been exposed to the virus? Will this exposure have the same effect a booster would anyway? Anything different my wife should do if she’s pregnant?

thanks

If you were already fully vaccinated with 2 doses of an mRNA vaccine and subsequently experienced a breakthrough infection, you’re effectively already boosted. This is not to say that you can’t obtain a booster or that it would be unsafe to do so if you wanted at some point down the line, depending on how things play out.
