as far as I know, there is a BBM app in planning or in development and the beta version is already being tested.
Is there already a date for the release?
What will be the scope of the app, is there already information about it?

We are currently awaiting approval from Apple. The app will be available after that on iOS. We’ll be tackling Android soon thereafter.
We will announce more details when we hear from Apple.
