Two weeks off as a novice lifter due to Laser Eye Surgery

I’ve been performing strength training for the past six weeks as a dedicated strength training centre, with about a month before that at a local gym. My lifts aren’t great (70kg bench for three, 80kg squat for three, 140kg deadlift for three). I’ve done strength training in the past but only started again after a year off (and loosing 30lbs during that year - depression, smoking, eating poorly).

I’m getting laser eye surgery in the next few days and the guidance states that I shouldn’t train for two weeks - being my eyes, I don’t want to take any chances. What can I do during this period to minimise losses?

Many thanks.

Unfortunately we are not ophthalmologists, and cannot provide you with specific advice here. I’d ask your surgeon what the activity limitations are and go from there.
