I trained yesterday doing week 12 day 1 of the 12 week strength template. After the session when I took my shirt off there were two bright red ovals on right shoulder and small red spotting under my left eye. Is this normal? I’ve never seen anything like this before. Today I checked the oval spots they weren’t as colorful. I’m just wondering if there is any information you can give to me or have me look up. Thank you for the time.
Hard to say if they’re normal, though the odds of a skin lesion occurring from strength training that requires urgent attention is very low outside of a MRSA infection or similar. This doesn’t sound like that, but I’d watch it for a few days and see what happens. If it gets worse or other symptoms like fever, tenderness to the touch, swelling, etc. crop up- see a doctor.
So just to clarify you can obtain skin lesions due to strength training? The color in them has faded now and they look like a small dull rash compared to after training they were bright red like Christmas lights. Thank you for the reply Jordan.
You’re asking if you can obtain any skin-related injury from training and the answer is yes, you can. Skin abrasions from the bar, calluses, petechiae, infections from dirty equipment, etc. I am unsure what you have based on the report, however.
