What happens to my body if I stay within +-2kg and train hard for a looooong time?

Hi, I’ve googled “Barbell medicine recomp” and read a couple forum posts and just wanted to clarify something.

I’ve lost 25kg and 20+ cm off my waist and now sit just below the cut off point of 100cm. If I understood what I read, if I stay within a couple kg and just train normally, over a very long period of time I will ‘recomp’ due to gaining a little muscle when I go up in weight and hanging on to most of it when I go down a bit.

Does that sound right or is it a pipe dream? Or would you even recommend I try to drop to around 90cm before attempting this??

(191cm tall, 115kg, 98cm waist)

Love your work. Excited to read and try the low fatigue template soon.

I’d aim for more like ~90 to 92cm waist and maintain weight once you’re there. I’d expect your body to change markedly over the next year +, more muscle, less fat, etc.

Sounds great! This news kinda reignited my gym/diet motivation, thank you so much.
