I’m sure you’ve answered this before but I’m very confused as to what supplements I should be taking if any. I know Creatine is the most studied but I’m stuck on the Whey protein issue. Some people tell me I will get enough from eating healthy food. Others say you should take more protein for muscle growth. A lot of this info is admittedly over my head. I see that you guys sell a whey protein supplement and therefore have skin in the game so maybe not the right people to ask. But I’m wondering, does an average intermediate Powerlifter need to be taking whey protein shakes? If so, when and how much.
Hey Shannon,
Thanks for the message and I hope you’re well.
The average post novice powerlifter could probably benefit from a protein supplement for times where they need a high quality, low calorie protein source that is portable and doesn’t need to be cooked. That said, if this is not an issue for that person- no protein needed.
I would use protein as a meal replacement.
