All scheduled in this prep.

Learned a few days ago the meet will be a morning session.
That changes things for me for sure.
Already a 2 hour drive, and weigh ins ar at 8AM
Oh well.

So, last heavy pulls were yesterday, Thursday, and i had the final PR
485 deadlift for 2 singles.
Camera stopped on the first, so i’ll never know how much faster it was.

In any case, this is the 2nd

I failed my recent bench PR of 117.5kg on a short rest day.
Trying to adjust sleep schedule ahead of meet.
When i hit it for a new PR it was clean and well paused.

So i’m dialing back expectations for bench at the meet.
112.5kg is my current meet best, and was my 3rd in July.

Now i’ll have it for my 2nd, and go for 115kg as a third.
Not going to go for 117.5kg this time.
Too unpredictable, and i’ll gladly take a new meet best w/ a good chance of success regardless of the morning session.
So opener and 2nd this morning with Saturday yet to go and then last lifts next week.

Been just practicing squat opener and 2nd
177.5kg/187.5kg and will probably just go for 190kg at the meet.
I’ve hit a nice 190kg rep in training, and unless i’m feeling really strong on meet day, i’ll be very happy with that.

That leaves DL.
Going for that 220kg as a second, and if everything goes as i have outlined above, i will try for 222.5kg as a third.

That will give me a 527.5 kg total, and be good enough for #11 all years USAPL Masters 3a 93kg class
535kg would give me top 10, but that’s just not in the cards this time around.

Looking to have no meets until hopefully at least late summer 2022, or even just a fall meet depending on what events are announced here in Maine.

Looking forward to just putting my head down and training.

This is the second to last practice rep with this weight before the meet.
Lifting early in the morning now, to synch up with the morning session that this meet is running.
Just squeaking it in for depth.

Today convinced me i am the master of this weight though.
I feel different this early, but the steps are all the same, and strength is not an issue here.
In my mind i must remember i have the strength to kick this weight’s ass.

Gonna squat either Tuesday or Wednesday. Thinking Tuesday most likely.
I want to get another inch of depth on this.

527.5 kg total.
#11 all years USAPL Masters 3a ~ 93kg.

Did get drug tested, so hopefully a multivitamin doesn’t make me pop.

New state record squat, beating my old one by 2.5 kg.
New state record DL by 7.5kg, new state record total by 12.5kg

What’s on the horizon in terms of the “next meet”?

Unknown.
I’m not doing either of the two next in the state(January and March)
I would be fine with late summer, or even better Fall.

I do want to complete the 27 weeks of deadlift programming i have laid out.

One decision i have made is never to do a meet when snow is a possibility during prep.
Manual snow removal is just too much of a wild card in relation to training.

But beyond that, these last two meets were fairly close together, and i just want to train with no deadline except the end of my blocks.

As of now i am planning on doing tne next meet at the “new” weight class of -90kg.
I can snag top 5 all years USAPL for masters 3a easily.
#4 in that class is too far ahead to be a good target at this point, so after that i will just be a very light -100kg and start picking those places off.

#19 by total right now in the -100kgs onopenpowerlifting, and adding 32.5kg to my total would take me to #9
With the intervening places as targets to have along the way.

Can’t be arsed anymore.

No dips.
Neck still has a kink.
Not affecting main lifts, but i’m laying off pullups and dips for a few more day at least.

I turned my head after setting my arch, maybe last Saturday.
Stupidly was checking if i had turned the camera on.
