4 Day Templates

Good Evening BBM Team,

Quick question on the four day templates specifically Strength and Powerlifting. When it comes to consecutive days are days 1 & 2 and 3 & 4 designed to be consecutive. Or at least one of the two. For example Monday/Wednesday Friday/Saturday. How would the BBM team program the majority of the 4 day programs?

I’m 99% sure that the BBM coaches would advise you to run the training sessions whenever you’re able to, don’t stress about training on multiple consecutive days, and to let the prescribed RPE guide your effort. It’s probably “optimal” to allow 24h between sessions, and I think that the most common 4-day schedule is something like Mon-Tue-Thu-Fri. There would be no disadvantage to running the schedule you quoted above, though. I personally know a guy who trains Tue-Wed-Thu-Sun and he seems to do all right. The most important thing is to do the training.
