Additional Upper body Volume

Hi BBM Team,

I’ve been experiencing some knee pain and have purchased the Knee Rehab Template.

I am a 33 year old male, 6 foot, 200lbs, 37inch waist with 10+ years training, currently in a fat loss phase looking to lose around 3 inches from my waist.

Whilst working through the knee template, would adding the 2 days upper-back/arms from PB1 be reasonable to aid in muscle retention whilst cutting? Or switching the upper body portion completely for the upper body from PB/Hypertrophy. Or just run the program as it is.

I own the 3&4 day 7 week hypertrophy. PB 1&2, and 12 week strength.

Thanks for the post. Hope the knee rehab template is going well for you, though I know knee pain can be frustrating, for sure.

You can definitely run some different upper body programming if you desire, though I’d probably not do any singles on upper body during the early phases of rehabbing a knee injury. The upper back/arm stuff you mention is fine. If it were me, I’d look at the upper body programming from the Bodybuilding II template for this application. I think that would match your goals well here.
