I took a break from powerlifting because of some severe low back pain. I now know I made a mistake and should have kept moving. I just started the Low Back Pain Template. Age 27. Weight 205. Height 6’3. I was wondering if I should gain some LBM during this time or do a recomp? I calculated my recomp numbers to be around 230P/300C/55F. Would this work while getting back in the swing of things?
I don’t know if this is a great time to try and gain weight if you can’t train without restrictions. I’d wait until the last phase of the LBP template before going into a surplus.
