AMRAP peculiar benefits?

Hey Crew, this question is open to staff or knowledgeable members

Do AMRAP sets have any peculiar benefit for hypertrophy? (that is, leaning moreso toward hypertrophy benefits than pure strength; although the two really cannot be separated.)
I understand the general consensus is not to take every set to failure, but close to failure for best stimulus/fatigue ratio.

If your question is whether taking sets to absolute failure, as in an AMRAP, has unique benefits for hypertrophy compared to staying slightly shy of failure: probably not.
