Any disadvantage to benching with heels up?

I’m 6’8, by bench is 17.5" tall. I can’t seem to keep my ass on the bench otherwise. I have no plans to compete any time soon.

Regardless, I would be interested to hear any tips for keeping ass and heels down, for guys with long legs.

I realised that I can actually get my heels down if I set my feet first, then use the rack to push myself down the bench. This video was a lot more useful than the Dave Tate one I’ve been following!

I can bench this way without my ass coming up, but there’s a lot of tension going through my quads to keep my arch. I had a significant quad pump going after 5 reps with the empty barbell. Is this just something I’ll have to get used to?
