Bad weekend after affect

So I celebrated my birthday too hard last weekend and ate like a fat kid all weekend. I didn’t weigh in until Wednesday because I knew I was just going to discourage myself. I weighed in at 193lbs and 34" waist which is 6lbs more than I weighed the previous Friday at 187 33" waist. And it’s stayed at 193 Thursday, Friday, Saturday. Though it appears I lost 1/2 inch but weight still 193.

My current MyFitnessPal settings are set to 2070 but I generally only been getting about 1500-1600 today. This past week I started eating almost the full 2070 and have included more carbs than I been doing with having oatmeal in morning.

But you and I both ran my numbers through nih on my recent Facebook post and it calculated that I should be eating almost 3000 just to maintain.

If im maintaining the last couple days at almost 1000cal less than what nih says should I be concerned about trying to jump to 3000/day and actually I was going to start a surplus as I start 12 week strength so I was going to go slightly higher than 3000.

What are your thoughts?

Current stats 39yo 6’4 193lbs 33.5" waist. Wanted to slow bulk maybe hit 200 by end of year Dec 31st.

Yea I don’t think I’d make any rash decisions after a weekend of significant overconsumption followed by a few days of being in a calorie deficit. I’d probably bump your calories up to ~2800 or so and hold them there for a few weeks and see what happens. This obviously requires that we keep it together over the weekends, but that’s what I would do.

Jordan,

Replying to this old post so you have a refresher about my history. So I have been getting about 2700-2800 calories per day since this last post. I will admit I had another off day or 2 in that time due to Easter and what not. However here are my Weekly Averages

Week 1: 193lbs/33.5" waist
Week 2: 192.2lbs/33" waist
Week 3: 195lbs/33.5" waist
Week 4: 194.6lbs/33.5" waist
Week 5: 192.1lbs/33.5" waist
Week 6: 191.3lbs/33.5" waist
Today’s weigh in: 189.5lbs/33.5" waist.

Using my current weight I re-ran my numbers through NIH with the goal of reaching 200lbs by December 31st which would be 0.3lbs/week and the numbers it came up with was to Maintain 3005cal to reach goal 3239cal. My current Macros 208p, 250c, 107F. I’ve been on track (no splurging) since Easter. Got my weekends reined in finally. I’ve noticed a small but downward trend in my weight. Should I increase at least to the 3005? Currently on Week 10 of 12 week strength and thinking of running it again.
