BAIBA supplements

I was wondering if you would have any insight on using β-aminoisobutyric acid as a supplement?

This study (Beta-Aminoisobutyric Acid as a Novel Regulator of Carbohydrate and Lipid Metabolism - PMC) states: “Interventional studies in mice as well as the results, obtained in cell culture models and human cohorts have demonstrated a novel function of the non-protein amino acid BAIBA—its involvement in regulation of carbohydrate and lipid metabolism. Particularly, BAIBA declines body fat mass, increases insulin sensitivity, favorably affects lipid metabolism, and also decreases inflammatory reactions.”

Nah, it doesn’t even prevent weight gain in mice.
