Based on the claims in this article, is it fair to assume that BCAA’s by itself, can impact MPS negatively.?
No, not at all. The editorial (not a study) tries to infer that may be the case, but does have evidence to support that claim. In contrast, there are a number of papers showing BCAAs in isolation can drive MPS. Nevertheless, I do not think BCAAs are useful to supplement in isolation when someone is eating enough protein.
