BCAA vs Whole Protein

Making the assumptions that:

a) There is a calorie surplus
b) All micronutrient needs are being met

Are there any compelling reasons related to health and MPS to consume whole proteins with every meal rather than just supplementing 6-8g of BCAA (2:1:1)?

I’m not vegan or vegetarian and would eat steak with every meal if I could. I’m trying to get my head around the role that whole protein plays in our diet as opposed to isolated consumption of BCAA.

Yes. If you don’t get enough EAAs you’ll be up a creek. BCAAs aren’t enough.
