Hello, I’ve been trying to look around, and I’ve been wondering, how come actual food sourced protein is better than taking bcaas? All i’ve been able to find is that it is better, but I can’t seem to find the “why”. If bcaas are just in the protein that we eat, how come taking them via supplementation couldn’t totally replace our protein intake? Thank you !
What have you found by looking around?
There is tons of studies regarding if Bcaas are useful or not, also its effectiveness. I Haven’t been able to find a study that per say, displays the effects of using a bcaas supplement alone vs the equal amount of amino acids in actual food sources. I found one answer from you that simply says “because it is lacking EAAs”. I Took a quick look into EAAs, and it still brings me to the same argument, supplement vs real food.
If you compared an 200 calories of an EAA supplement to 200 calories of a lean protein from whole food, I don’t think you could say one is better or worse.
