Baraki Squat, pushing out knees at the bottom of the squat?

Hi Dr Baraki,

https://youtu.be/iOLqFzgOE0g?t=354 I notice after watching your squat videos a lot, as reference in my own squat learning journey, that as you progressed in time, generally you would, instead of squatting ‘straight’ down and up, in one motion, it almost seems like you queue opening your knees/hips/adductors a little more before you hit the bottom of the squat.

From an third person perspective it looks like you actively queue to push your knees out, and then continue to drop your hips into the hole.

Not a big detail or part of squatting, but I just saw this a couple times and thought I’d ask if you actively queued this movement? I tried it and felt a lot stronger coming out of the hole. No pain in my hip area.

Honestly I don’t have many active cues that I think about anymore with my base of experience, other than staying balanced on the mid-foot.
