Beginner Template RPE changes?

Hi docs,

Just listened to your November 19 “What Have We Changed Our Minds on Recently” episode on YouTube.

I’m curious if your thoughts about staying further away from failure most of the time have implications for the Beginner Template… if you’d change anything, in terms of RPEs, if you were putting it together right now?

I don’t think we’d make significant changes to the beginner programming from that perspective.

Most of the RPE targets are not especially high. It’s also still necessary to get some amount of exposure to those higher intensity ranges anyway, in order to learn how to push into that level of effort.
