Bodybuilding I Second Generation

Hey, BBM team, I have a couple of things. First, as an owner of the original bodybuilding I template, what has changed from the first generation iteration to the second? And lastly, I did not receive a discount code for the new template. I’ve not received a response from support regarding this issue thus far.

Howdy!

Lots of changes to the new Bodybuilding 1 template, such as:

  • 3- and 4-day/wk options (previously only 4x/wk)
  • Potential training load slightly increased based on data sleuthing from app and feedback
  • More dynamic control of fatigue to better match recovery and training tolerance
  • Conditioning completely overhauled
  • Expanded text, with inclusion of discussion on supersets and training splits

The email regarding discount codes for previous customers should be going out very soon. We appreciate your patience, though I’d be pumped to get started too!

Thanks, Jordan. I’ve probably run Bodybuilding II three times now (with other programs like PBIII and General S/C in between. Do you think it makes sense to run BBI second generation given my recent training history? It’s just hard to for me to make a call without more information.

Hi @goreblox , Microsoft made some significant changes to how they treat emails last week and many emails were rejected to Microsoft domains like Outlook.com. We have been making the required changes to comply with their new policies.

Meanwhile, I’m going to email you directly the code for the BBI upgrade to make sure you have it.

I think if you responded well to BB II and liked the setup, I think the only benefits of BB 1 would be the conditioning and training splits, e.g. 3-day PPL and 4-day superset organization.

You can check out the first week for free on the app or the website for more information if you need.

Jordan, I’ve been unable to view the archive of sample templates for some time. They are locked behind a subscription to an e-mail newsletter, which I subscribed to years ago, and the link that I originally received has since expired and is not working. When I try to re-supply my original e-mail, nothing happens, probably because the system notes that I’m already subscribed. Can someone send me a fresh link to the sample archive?

Sending now, you’ll see it shortly.

That worked. Thanks, Shawn!

Jordan, final question on BB I 2nd gen. I like the setup in the sample template, but just wanted to ask, does BB I 2nd gen include rep ranges/double progression after that first week?

Block 1 has double progression for some of the isolation work, whereas block 2 includes it for both accessory and isolation work. None of the main lift programming uses double progression in this template however.

Noted and thank you, Jordan!
