Bodybuilding II query

Hello Dr Feigenbaum, hope you’re doing great. I’m currently on 4 of Bodybuilding 1, been great overall but I have missed some lifting sessions and GPP, done some experimentation, and kind of feeling beat up some days most likely due to not having the best time management and recovery habits. I saw on the website for the new BB II template that it has a 3-day template included as well. I think id like to train for 3 days. I’m a big BBM fanboy so I just wanted to ask you if you think it would be suitable for me and if should I buy it.

Shalom,
Kirill

Kirill,

Yep, the 3-day plan would work great in this context. Let me know how you find it!

Thanks for your response Doc, I also wanted to know if the shoulder rehab template could work only with a pair of bands and some light dumbells.?

Kind regards,
Kirill

What differences are there between Bodybuilding I and II? Thanks!

Hey Doc, just got the template, and was curious if the grey area was supposed to be empty. Thanks. Btw I see that you’ve implemented RIR in this one, any specific reasons? Personally, i had been wanting a BBM program with RIR, so many thanks.

Yep, that’s supposed to be empty. I wanted to include RIR when we were using it (reps in reserve) as a proxy for RPE. Seems to make sense to me!

More volume, double progression, expanded e-book text, a 3-day/wk option, and more!

Hmmm, that’d be tough to do, but not impossible. If someone had access to the rest of the gym equipment they’d need to train “normally”, sure!

I really like that you did that because, on other BBM templates that I’ve run, I’ve always had a problem of getting a higher RPE for the same weight and not being able to hit the prescribed weight for the following sets.
So given that you’ve used RIR in this program, do I have to stick to the rep range if I don’t hit the recommended rpe on the second or third set? Can I do more reps outside the recommended range if I don’t achieve the target RPE with the same weight? I really hope I’m not confusing you with my question. Thanks

I would stick with the prescribed rep ranges and not do more or less reps than what is listed.

Yes, sir Roger that. Just had a small suggestion by the way for the BBM BB2 template, is there any way you could add cells to log accessories? or should I just write them down separately?

Thank you, Dr. Feigenbaum

I think I could be coerced into doing that

The app will let you add additional exercises to each day’s session in addition to what the template has Rxed. It’s very convenient.
