Calorie deficit

In the wake of the new youtube video by BBM I’ve found my waist is 42" which I didn’t think was that bad. Since its recommended to be under 40" what would be a good deficit to start at? How do I go about losing 3 or more inches on my waist? I’ve been on 300g carb 100g fat and 220g protein for about 3 months and I’m weighing 250. I’m not getting much stronger than I was at 235 but I would definitely like too get under 40".

Thanks for the posts. I would advocate for a small change at first, e.g. 200-500 calories or so coming from carbs and fats. Start there and see how you do.

Do you notice any trends of losing “x” amount of weight per inch off someone’s waist?

I’m sure height, sex, and such make for a lot of variation, but any educated guesses?
