Weight cut is still going well, i’m down another 10lbs to 205 at 6’4 as of this morning. Abs are getting pretty visible, but weirdly my waistline still seems to be stuck at 36". I am starting to get kinda skinny and I seem to have lost quite a bit of muscle mass (as expected). Strength is declining a bit, but still hanging in there. I don’t really want to go under 200lbs at this height, but at this rate, i need to cut at least another 10-15lbs to get my waist down under 35.
My initial thought was to cut down to 200, hang out there for like 4 weeks, slowly gain back up to 215 and then cut back down to 200 again, cycling back and forth 10-15lb increments trying to get body fat lower without sacrificing more gainzzz.
Over what time period have you lost the 10lbs, where did your waist start at, and what does your training look like?
Off hand, I’d probably just keep losing weight until your waist is <34" regardless of your weight, but your training and dietary intake might need some tweaking if these are your current results.
I was 237lbs at 39.5" this time last year. I had some setbacks, moving to a different city, different job, etc that has extended the period of weight loss quite a bit.
The last 10lbs have come off over the last 4 weeks while on the Titan Program. My waist 1 month ago was 36.5 to 37". Seems like I am averaging about 1" per 10lbs of weight lost.
Copy that. Nice job on the weight loss! I think 1" per 10lbs is a bit slower than average and I would expect that to pick up as your body fat stores in other areas are decreased.
Typically with folks with BMI > 30 I’d expect ~5-7lbs to produce an inch of WC loss. Just something I’ve seen in practice and some evidence showing similar amounts, but measurement errors can really play with this.
Just a quick update here. I cut down the last 5lbs to 200lb bodyweight. My waist is right at 34.75-35" now. I am the leanest I’ve been in a long time, but I’ve also lost a pretty substantial amount of muscle and strength. For me to get down under 34" I am going to have to give up even more progress at this point, not to mention literally none of my clothes fit. Based on the Navy BF calculator (which I know isn’t extremely accurate), I’m down to like 12% body fat.
I was thinking about holding here for like 4 weeks before slowly gaining weight again for like 8-12 weeks, keeping waistline under 35.5 or so, trying to get up to like 215-220 before cutting back down again.
Hi, I think it could be the following reasons why the waist is tuck at 36.
There is a lose in weight but waist is stuck at 36 because the proper way of exercise is very important. You should have include the waist training exercise as well in your daily routine. Just simple weight loss cannot lose the waist it will stuck at the same level as it already have.
I have the similar issue i have tried many waist trainers corset and shapewears as well. But if you are not doing the proper exercise of reducing waist then it can’t be possible…
1- you should do twister daily.
2- you have to to do crunches and leg race properly 2-3 times in a week.
3- possible then include the waist trainer while exercising.
4- Apply the low calorie diet.
5- Maintain your living standards.
