Hey guys.
Does anyone know of a third party camera app for android that allows music while making videos? Not being able to hear my music via bluetooth while filming sets is annoying me…
Thanks!
Hey guys.

2nd this for iPhone of all the things our phones can do why not this ?
For iPhone I am using Media Monster (the Lite free version). It is OK but a bit finicky. If you don’t follow the exact procedure of stopping the video and then waiting for it to finish saving it will just discard the video. I.e. if you answer a text after you have stopped the video and it is saving (which takes ages) no video. This happened to me yesterday on a set I really wanted to keep the video and review (grrr). Also, it doesn’t have remote start stop with Apple Watch which would be ideal.
On my Android phone, when I start the camera to record video, it pauses the music. I can then restart the music and it continues to record while the music plays.
I think this is far from the intended use of this app, haha. But it worked really well! A lot of customization also. Thanks a lot! It seems i have found the one.
I was trying one called VideoFX Music Video Maker, which seemed to also work - if anyone wants to try. However, usability and customization are not super. This one appealed me more.
Try “Open Camera”
+1. I downloaded this specifically for this reason (Google Pixel), and it’s been great. Aside from the music part of it, I actually like the interface better than the stock camera too.
An article I was talking about:

Hi - I don’t have this issue with my camera and I’m on the latest version of android, but I listen to music through bluetooth headphones, not via a bluetooth speaker so maybe try that instead?
iPhone user here –
I use the app called MIDEO. It allows me to record video while listening to music with no interruption. The app records video and background audio (not the music I am listening to). I think the app was $2.99, and well worth it IMO.
oh wow! This is really useful.
