Hello!
I just watched the testosterone podcast and am wondering if it can be too high? Say I have lots of body hair, muscle mass, etc is there a scenario when I naturally have too high testosterone level and it can be bad for general health? Great podcast by the way =)
Other than having a Leydig cell tumor or certain forms of congenital adrenal hyperplasia, not really.
Very good episode on Testosterone. As a physician, I find myself frequently explaining to patients that in “Classical Medical Training” we never order a test unless the result will change the diagnosis or treatment; the “I just want to know” reason isn’t good enough (never mind the cost factor). Unfortunately, there are many tests ordered by clinicians who apparently didn’t have “Classical Medical Training”. This was a good podcast for me, in particular, because I am an orthopedic surgeon who graduated medical school 35 years ago, and I have forgotten everything I ever learned about the sex hormone cycle (also, just about everything I learned turns out to be just NOT TRUE anymore).
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it.
