Cervical Foraminal Stenosis

For the past several years I’ve had moderate pain in my right arm and scapula. About 6 months ago I developed paresthesia in my thumb, index and middle finger on my right side. The pain also got much worse in my neck and right pectoral. I just had an MRI and imaging done and the results are “Multilevel foraminal narrowing including moderate bilateral C3-4, moderate bilateral C5-6, moderate right C6-7 foraminal narrowing.”

I’ve continued training but this has become a much less enjoyable experience. I’ve just started daily doses Meloxicam and Gabapentin but I’m not sure those are helping.

I am still waiting to do an EMG and further consultation with a couple different doctors, but wondering what is my immediate plan of action. Is continued training a good idea? Are there any movements I should avoid?

What are my realistic expectations if I were to proceed with surgery? Would delaying surgery have negative ramifications on future nerve functionality?
